Hans-Caspar Gattiker (* 1975 in Zurich ) is a Swiss actor .

Life

From 1999 to 2003, Hans-Caspar Gattiker completed his acting studies at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theater in Leipzig . During his studies he played from 2001 to 2003 in the studio of the Staatsschauspiel Dresden .

From 2003 to 2007 he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Theater Göttingen . In 2005 he was awarded the Young Talent Prize of the German Theater in Göttingen. In the 2007/08 season he was a guest at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg , where he a. a. the "The Condemned" in a stage version of the Kafka story In the penal colony was. From the 2009/10 season to 2016 he was permanently engaged at the Stadttheater Luzern . He was a guest a. at the Theater Erlangen (season 2008/09, as Peer Gynt , director: Philip Stemann ) and at the Thalia Theater in Gaußstrasse .

His important stage roles included u. a. Marquis von Posa in Don Karlos (2005, Deutsches Theater Göttingen, director: Jens Schmidl ), Count Wetter von Strahl in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn (2007–2009, Deutsches Theater Göttingen, director: Mark Zurmühle ), Che in Evita (Deutsches Theater Göttingen , Director: Tobias Bonn ), Gunnar in Helden auf Helgeland (2007–2008, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, director: Roger Vontobel ), Woyzeck in a musical by Tom Waits (Theater Luzern, premiere: 2009/10 season, director: Andreas Herrmann ), the title role in Peer Gynt (Theater Luzern, season 2010/11, director: Thorleifur Orn Arnarsson ), Haimon in Antigone (Theater Luzern, season 2014/15, director: Wojtek Klemm ), Marat in Marat / Sade (Theater Luzern, season 2014 / 15, director: Bettina Bruinier ) and Philippeau in Dantons Tod (Theater Luzern, premiere: season 2015/16, director: Andreas Herrmann).

In the season 17/18 he appeared as Robber Captain Mattis in Ronja Robber's Daughter at the Lucerne Theater.

Hans-Caspar Gattiker has also appeared in front of the camera in several cinema and television productions. In the Lucerne crime scene Between Two Worlds (April 2014) he was seen in a leading role; he embodied the impulsive Daniele Rossi, who, after the divorce from his wife, repeatedly had arguments in the fight for custody of their daughter. In the 4th season of the Swiss series The Undertaker , he was part of the season cast in a continuous supporting role as Stipe Ivanovic in 2016. In the Swiss TV drama Zwiespalt (2017), he played the canton police officer Florian Hess, who, together with his colleague Linda Berger ( Isabelle Barth ), brings illegal asylum seekers out of the country on a plane.

In April 2018 Gattiker was seen in a leading role in the ARD television series WaPo Bodensee ; he embodied the slightly neglected car workshop owner Sepp Romberg, who is enemies with his brother, a successful fruit grower.

Gattiker lives in Zurich and Vienna .
