occupation

A television film from the crime series Tatort is between two worlds . It is the sixth case of the Lucerne investigator Reto Flückiger . The broadcast produced by SRF was first broadcast on April 21, 2014.

action

Reto Flückiger is called to a case very early in the morning. Donna Müller is found dead under a bridge on the train tracks. According to the forensic and forensic examination, suicide can be ruled out. When Flückiger and his colleague Liz Ritschard want to notify the relatives, they meet three underage children who are now receiving psychological care in a clinic. When trying to contact the father, they find that each child has a different parent. Daniele Rossi quickly appears, who wants to take his daughter Emma, the eldest of the three siblings, with him, but the psychologist refuses to allow the children to separate early. His aggressive demeanor makes him suspicious, but he can initially show an alibi.

Biljana Lukovic, the dead woman's closest friend, knows that Donna was in the process of training to be a spiritual healer and says that she would like to have the youngest daughter, Alisha, as it is expected that the married father, André Barmettler, will be with her will not make any claims. This training was not unexpected, because Donna was still in contact with 'Shankar', the father of her son Ravi, who lives in India and who says via Skype that there was a great kinship between them. She even planned to go to India with the children, which no one except her friend knew yet. For Richard this is an indication against Rossi, who hated his ex-wife and had fought for his daughter in vain for years. Through further research, she can also find out that he was not with his friends all evening, as he initially claimed. He is therefore taken into custody, but denies killing Donna. His lawyer can even find a witness who saw him in town at the time of the crime, which now exonerates him. Investigators also focus on Alisha's father when Flückiger finds out that Donna blackmailed him because she suddenly wanted him to provide alimony for the child in order to support the 'Shankar' organization in India. André Barmettler admits that he wanted to meet Donna in order to give her the money, but she did not come. So he paid the amount back into his bank.

Attempting to talk to the children does not help the investigators at first. But Flückiger notices the great aggressiveness that Ravi shows during the conversations. Therefore he deals with him more closely and tries to get access. Before he succeeds, Emma disappears from the children's hospital. Since she has taken a large number of sleeping pills, the search is urgent. When Flückiger and Richard no longer have any advice on where to look for the girl, they ask Pablo Guggisberg for help, who is attributed with psychic abilities and with whom the victim had started training. He had offered the police his support, which they are now using, and thanks to his gift Emma can actually be found in time. Daniele Rossi unexpectedly wants to make a confession, but Flückiger doesn't believe him. He suspects that he wants to protect his daughter. Richard talks to the girl and now learns that Emma had arranged to meet her father on the evening of the crime, who had promised her to speak to her mother again so that she doesn't have to go to India but can stay with her father in Switzerland . As she got out of his car, she met her mother, who was annoyed that she had secretly met her father. The dispute escalated and Emma pushed her mother so much that she fell down the slope to the railway.

criticism

Volker Bergmeister from tittelbach.tv has this to say about this crime scene: “The actual family drama, the children's being torn back and forth, their attachment and orientation problems, [is] pushed more and more into the background, sacrificed to a dramaturgy that is absolutely tension wants to produce, which is not particularly successful either. What I like is the interaction between the two investigators. ”“ The Lucerne investigator Reto Flückiger undoubtedly has his qualities, is a consistently grounded figure. But the whole thing drags on too much, sometimes seems to be trying & the story is over-constructed. No comparison with the Austrian 'Tatort'! "

At swr3.de, Bertram Quadt thinks that: “The hectic investigation in all directions that are only sufficiently cliché is only annoying after a very short time. And the very hard-boiled 'crime scene' watchers, i.e. those who really know and endure all the horrors of the television world, get out at the latest when the investigative team reaches for the supernatural themselves in their distress. Because there is - how could it be otherwise - a young, good-looking spiritual healer, and he can - you think it is possible - even communicate with the dead. [...]. "
