The Policewoman Murderer is a television film from the crime series Tatort . The film with Eva Mattes as chief detective Klara Blum was produced by SWR and SRF and first broadcast in Germany on January 17, 2010. This 753rd episode in the crime scene series is the 17th case of Klara Blum and the 13th case of Kai Perlmann . Reto Flückiger , the Swiss colleague (see Flückiger and Ritschard ), is investigating for the second time with the German team. Blum and Flückiger's cases overlap, so investigations have to be made in both Germany and Switzerland, which requires the commissioners to work together. When a policewoman on duty is shot, it turns out that there must be a leak within the police.

action

Chief Detective Inspector Reto Flückiger from the Swiss police is observing the seedy businessman Hutter in order to turn him over to his next dirty arms deal. Detective chief inspector Klara Blum and her colleague Kai Perlmann from the Constance police have their sights on the arms dealer Meiners, who works for him, and storm his house with the help of the SEK . However, he was warned by an informant and since his property is monitored and secured with cameras, he sees the police coming and escapes. The young policewoman Nora Schüssler tried to catch him, but hesitated and was fatally hit by a shot. Meiners escapes towards Lake Constance , where Hutter is already waiting for him in a boat. His escape is accidentally documented by Flückiger using a camera that Hutter had followed and observed his ship from the lake. When Blum arrives and describes the situation to the colleague, the latter is certain that the fugitive was brought to the landing stage by a patrol car.

Perlmann manages to get clues through Meiners' daughter Sabrina, which may lead to his whereabouts. Since the tracks lead to Switzerland, Flückiger remains on his heels for now. When you are ready to plan access, he asks the Konstanz colleague to do so. When he was arrested in Schaffhausen , Meiners denied having shot anyone. Blum wants to transfer him to Konstanz immediately , but he is also an important witness for Flückiger in his investigations into Hutter, so that after a brief dispute over jurisdiction it is decided that Flückiger will accompany Blum and the prisoner to Germany.

Hutter can find out which route Blum, Flückiger and Meiners will take. His informant is the policeman Norbert Deingruber, who has meanwhile brought Meiners daughter into his power and demands the surrender of important documents that her father had hidden in her apartment. Hutter wants these documents at all costs, since Meiners recorded all transactions between them in detail there, as he had revealed shortly before. Sabrina Meiners, who doesn't know anything about it, quickly figures out the story and drives with Deingruber to the bank, where she suspects these documents are in a locker to which her father once entrusted her with a key. She secretly has a bank clerk make copies for her before handing Deingruber the dossier.

Meanwhile, the prisoner transport falls into a trap and is shot at, a tire bursts, and Flückiger and Blum make the quick decision to change to the escort car with Meiners to continue their journey. At high speeds, an accident occurs, but it is minor and only affects the car. So the three continue on their way on foot. A tracking device previously found on the car made it clear to them that their pursuers are still on their heels. Not much later, Meiners realizes that Hutter and his accomplices do not want to free him, but rather kill him, when they shoot him and a bullet hits him in the thigh. He realizes how serious his situation is and makes a deal with the officials. If they save his life, he'll tell them in return who the police mole is. Blum succeeds in an adventurous way together with Meiners to escape the pursuers. She tracks down a doctor, but who is a veterinarian. He agrees to remove the bullet before blood poisoning occurs. From there, Blum contacts her office in Konstanz, knowing that her colleagues are worried and also to request the necessary support. When Flückiger shows up, with whom she had agreed to meet at the nearest doctor, Blum breathes a sigh of relief.

Perlmann is certain that Meiners must have an informant from the ranks of the police. Shortly afterwards, he received a message that something was wrong with his colleague Norbert Deingruber, and public prosecutor Ratinger also made himself suspicious of incomprehensible orders. So he explains that Deingruber would do his service on behalf of the Attorney General on a covert mission in Constance. Deingruber has found out about Blum's whereabouts from the prosecutor and immediately passes it on to Hutter and his puppets. They immediately besiege the vet's house and open a fire fight. However, Blum and Flückiger manage to overpower the three attackers. When the saving support arrives from Constance, the help is deceptive. Deingruber managed to mingle with the emergency team and sit behind the wheel of the ambulance himself. He makes a turn with the car in which Blum is with the injured Meiners in order to finish his work. When Sabrina Meiners wanted to hand over her father's documents for Perlmann, public prosecutor Ratinger got it and took away the treacherous papers. In his office he starts shredding them. When "Beckchen", the secretary of many years, pointed this out, Perlmann was able to stop Ratinger's action and have him arrested. Immediately he follows the emergency team that has gone out to help Blum and is informed by Flückiger that Deingruber is driving the ambulance. Both follow suit and arrive just in time to prevent worse. During the SEK mission, Nora Schüssler recognized Deingruber what her death sentence meant. When the latter sneers that it is just an occupational risk, Nora's father, who is also a police officer and part of the task force, raises his weapon, but lets it sink again and turns away with sagging shoulders.

Reviews

Rainer Tittelbach praised this episode as a “TV thriller [that] with the tried and tested stereotypes of the Western genre [...] and packaged it in an entertaining paper chase [entertain the viewer]. 'Policewoman murderer' integrates [] classic set pieces into the crime story. Even if Ard also makes use of the road movie, he [...] has [...] with his relief from the need to be too likely and credible, a change that the crime series should often afford. The 'BR-Tatort: We are the good guys' and 'The Policewoman Murderer' [are] a start! "

The website: How was the crime scene? wrote: “The policewoman murderer is a crosshair thriller of the other kind, not a classic Whodunit, but a western in a crime coat, a gripping chase in the Swiss provinces. [...] After a very exciting introduction [...] the expedition turns out to be extremely entertaining, so that smaller logic gaps and a badly constructed traffic accident can easily be overlooked. "

Kathrin Buchner from Stern.de rated this fast-paced crime thriller as “bizarre, but exciting. [However, there are] far too many storylines for a crime thriller, [but] [..] this 'Tatort' episode doesn't lack tension. "

The website Moviepilot .com ruled on the scene from Lake Constance: "When, the police killer 'now united again all that crime scene accounted for once. A completely normal crime thriller that doesn't take itself too seriously and that is convincing. On closer inspection everything looks a bit constructed, but with the standard crime scene length of 90 minutes and the trivial content, that is not tragic. For the first time in a long time that you could just let yourself be showered by a crime scene. "

The critics of Kino.de said: This is the “most exciting [] 'crime scene' that the SWR has produced so far on Lake Constance. […] Sometimes the image design should be reminiscent of US series like 'CSI' a little too much, but especially the night shots [are] of excellent quality, […] even the music […] doesn't have you The part of the great tension content of this co-production between SWR and Swiss Television is too underestimated.
