Ralph Gassmann

Ralph Gassmann (born March 19, 1977 in Zurich ) is an actor with Swiss and British citizenship .

Already in his youth, Gassmann had numerous engagements in film and television. From 1998 to 2001 he completed his acting studies at the Arden School of Theater in Manchester. Already in his last year of study he could be seen as Hamlet, among others. This was followed by various theater roles in the north-west of England as well as in the West End of London and engagements in British film and television. For the leading role in the Swiss television film Dario M. Gassmann was nominated for the Swiss Film Prize in 2004 as the only male actor in the category "Best Leading Role". Since then he has appeared in numerous films and series for British and Swiss television as well as in British plays. Gassmann has also been active on German television since 2007 and is known to the public there primarily through roles in the Bodensee Tatort , as the veterinarian Andreas Grub in the SWR series Die Fallers and from leading roles in numerous ZDF television films. In 2017 he can be seen in a continuous role in the 5th season of the SRF series The Undertaker .

Gassmann has lived in Berlin since 2013 .
