In the course of the trip, Angelika realizes that she wants to separate from her husband after twenty years of marriage and so she moves out of the shared suite. Meanwhile, Mia accepts Tobias' second marriage proposal after rejecting the first out of uncertainty.

Martin Koch is on the ship with his daughter Evelyn. However, Martin suffers from vascular dementia and has more and more mental dropouts. He gets lost on Palau and ends up on an island where many people with dementia live, who have become a community here. After Martin wants to stay there first, Dr. At Evelyn's insistence, persuade Sander to come back to Germany. On the way back, Evelyn had the idea of founding something similar to the one on the island, a community for people with dementia.

Dirk is injured, so the two thieves return and take Dirk and Victor ashore. Dirk's underwater camera, which has not yet been switched off, records the stolen corals on board. Back on the ship, Captain Burger evaluates the recordings and confronts the two passengers. They regret what they did and decide to work with the authorities to hold their clients accountable.

The founder of the shipping company, Hieronymus Claasen, is visiting the ship. After discussions about who will write the welcome speech for the captain, head hostess Beatrice takes on this task. Cruise director Oskar Schifferle speaks it to himself while reading, which is why Claasen calls him “Captain”.
