The Amadea is a cruise ship that was built as the Asuka for NYK Cruises in Japan in 1991 and now sails for Phoenix Reisen . It is 192 m long, 24.7 m wide and measured at 29,008  GT . The draft is 7.5 m. The ship is equipped with 604 beds in 317 cabins, 122 of which have a balcony. The crew consists of approx. 300 people.

history

After the ship had sailed for NYK Cruises from 1991 to 2006, Phoenix Reisen from Bonn took over the ship in 2006 and renamed it Amadea . On March 12, 2006 his first trip for Phoenix Reisen began from Yokohama .

Amadea has been the location of the ZDF series Das Traumschiff since 2015 .

technology

The two variable-pitch propellers are driven via reduction gears by two seven-cylinder Mitsubishi diesel engines 7L 58/64 with a total output of 17,314 kW. The ship is equipped with stabilizers and has a 1,300 kW bow thruster . Three diesel generators with 2,125 kW each and two shaft generators with 2,125 kW each are available for the power supply.
