Nachtkrapp is the 845th episode of the crime series Tatort and the 19th case with Blum / Perlmann as the investigative team. The film was produced by Südwestrundfunk together with Swiss radio and television and was broadcast for the first time in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on October 7, 2012. The Lake Constance crime scene celebrates its tenth anniversary with the film.
action
During the excursion of a Catholic youth group from Switzerland, the young Beat Noll is kidnapped, abused and killed overnight from the school camp on the German side of Lake Constance. After a dispute over competence, the German commissioners Klara Blum and Kai Perlmann and their Swiss colleague Matteo Lüthi set out to search for the perpetrator. The boy Moritz, who feels responsible for the death of his friend because they previously swapped beds, is part of the investigation because his parents are abroad at the same time.
During the investigation, Holger Nussbaum, who had previously been sentenced to 15 years in prison for similar cases, quickly became the main suspect because the police had collected evidence that could be traced back to his boat. However, there are also doubts that a similar act took place at a time when Nussbaum was still in prison. In addition, the school campus owners Andreas and Herbert Bogener are suspected of confusing statements. The police notice that the perpetrator only abused black-haired children and that he must have been after Moritz because the victim is red-haired.
During the further investigation, Nussbaum kidnaps Klara Blum into the Swiss mountains. He sees himself exposed to a possible re-imprisonment, which he absolutely wants to prevent: He was innocent in prison and lost his family through imprisonment, for which he also blames the then investigator Blum. He and Blum are hiding in a bunker near Schwägalp , which he threatens to blow up with himself and Klara Blum if his demands are not met. Blum, who after numerous considerations is now convinced of his innocence, is able to prevent this and tries to find out through Nussbaum who the real culprit is.
While Blum and Nussbaum drive back to the school camp, the actual perpetrator Andreas Bogener has already sailed away from the coast in a boat with Moritz, who was previously guarded by the police. A short time later, Blum and Nussbaum arrive and go on the boat. Before they can arrest Bogener, he hangs himself in front of their eyes. Moritz, who was hiding under a tarpaulin, can be recovered unharmed.

criticism
“The 23rd case by Klara Blum has everything that makes a good Lake Constance 'crime scene' that does not want to be a fast-paced city crime thriller: a book that includes the landscape, the complicated cross-border cooperation of the police and still the tension holds. An outstanding camera that not only creates a mysterious atmosphere thanks to the cloudy autumn fog at the lake and an oppressive atmosphere even without direct scenes of violence. "
“With 'Nachtkrapp', Winczewski manages an exciting 'crime scene'. He confronts the otherwise sovereign Commissioner Blum with the past and the self-doubt that goes with it. For this he chooses a topic that will probably leave no one indifferent. When Moritz stands next to the investigators at the end and quietly says goodbye to his best friend Beat, there remains an oppressive feeling that persists even after the credits. "
“Too many ideas, too many strands: the crime scene is overloaded. Dead children, rude Swiss, impotent commissioner. It's a shame that the wonderfully warm Eva Mattes is so wasted. As recently after Lena Odenthal (Ludwigshafen), Inga Lürsen (Bremen), Sarah Brandt (Kiel), evil also reaches out to her, to Klara Blum, who can think this and that in the same breath. But this ability doesn't help her either. "
