Cornelia Schmaus

Cornelia Schmaus (born September 15, 1946 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actress .

Life

Schmaus is the daughter of Lily Leder-Schmaus and Stephan Hermlin . She was adopted by her mother's second husband and grew up in East Berlin, where her mother was a dramaturge at the Deutsches Theater . After completing the extended secondary school , she received her training from 1965 to 1968 at the State Drama School in Berlin . This was followed by an engagement at the Schauspielhaus Karl-Marx-Stadt , where she appeared for ten years. From 1984 to 1987 she worked at the Dresden State Theater . She then worked at the Volksbühne Berlin until 1991 and at the Schauspiel Frankfurt am Main from 1992 to 1994 . From 1994 to 1999 she returned to the Volksbühne. Most recently, she was increasingly in front of the camera for television roles.
