Munster-Kemper

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kemper is a former farming community . It extended on the right side of the Munster Aa from the old city limits in the south to the Coerde farmers in the north (about south of Königsberger Strasse ). It was part of the municipality of St. Mauritz in the Münster district and was gradually incorporated into the city of Münster : The southern part (with penal institution and slaughterhouse ) on January 1, 1875, the middle part with the former farms of Schnorrenburg, Diek House and Hacklenburg House on April 1, 1903 and the northern part with the (former) farms of Haus Nevinghoff, Rumphorst, Lütke and Große Kleimann and parts of the Coerde farmers on October 1, 1956.

Until the municipal reorganization of the city of Münster on January 1, 1975, this area formed the district of Kemper. Today it is essentially divided into the statistical districts 26 (Schlachthof), 46 ( Rumphorst ) and the southern part of the statistical district 61 (Coerde).
