Energy balls

Energy balls , and balls of energy , Energy Balls or cereal balls called, are confections of dried fruit and other ingredients such as nuts , grain products (eg. As oatmeal ), cane sugar , beet syrup or honey . The ingredients are kneaded together and usually rolled in sesame seeds or desiccated coconut .

Energy balls were used as an alternative to conventional sweets such as chocolate bars and the like based on whole foods . developed, therefore usually consist of products from organic farming and contain no refined sugar . They are available in health food stores , but you can also make them yourself without much effort.

Due to their ingredients and the low water content, energy balls are particularly rich in carbohydrates , especially sugar, and can therefore raise blood sugar levels just as quickly as other sweets.
