MJ Plenikowski & Co

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

At the end of the 19th century, the company MJ Plenikowski & Co was Germany's largest known car body and horse-drawn carriage factory.

In Hartha , Dresdener Strasse 61, the factory built exceptionally well-designed wagons and carriages ( suspension , upholstery , chassis ). It was (according to the sticky note in the upholstery of a still existing carriage) the first body manufacturer in the city, which is surrounded by many small businesses. Plenikowski & Co also delivered to the Royal Residence in Dresden .

The company owner maintained a close business relationship with the neighboring factory owner Theodor Rüdiger . The company still has a privately owned horse-drawn carriage. There are also two other privately owned carriages from this manufacturer, a Viktoria with a plug-in top and a Viktoria without a top.
