MAN Lion's Regio
The Lion's Regio was an omnibus model series by MAN , which was built from 2004 to 2017 and was suitable as a combination bus for overland regular traffic as well as for excursions and transfers.
It was originally available in two lengths, a 12.25-meter two-axle and a 13.9-meter three-axle. In 2006 a 13 meter long two-axle truck was added. All versions were produced in the Turkish MAN bus plant in Ankara . The model series was discontinued in 2017 due to the tightened overturning directive coming into force, which would have meant a complete overhaul of the bus.
The Trendliner from the sister brand Neoplan , also available from 2004, was identical in construction to the Lion's Regio except for its external appearance. After the realignment of the Neoplan product range, which should only include coaches, the Trendliner was taken off the market in 2009. Under the name Neoplan Jetliner, a successor was again added to the range for the 2013 model year, which also largely corresponded to the Lion's Regio, but was discontinued in 2015.
