1990 presented MAN with the NG 272 its first low-floor - articulated bus , suitable for MAN NL202 . This bus , which was optically based on the VÖV Standard II bus , was available with three and four doors. The articulated pusher bus was equipped with a diesel engine in the rear that drove the last axle. In contrast to the second series NG 272 (2) (A11), all seats were on pedestals .
The NG 272 was replaced by the A11 as early as 1992 . Visually, it largely corresponded to the first generation NG 272. The main difference of the successor was the low-pedestal arrangement of the seats in the front of the car and therefore lower side windows at the front with a kink in the lower window line in front of the central axis in contrast to the straight window line in the first series of the low-floor articulated bus. It was still run as a separate series.
The NG 272 have meanwhile been taken out of service by the transport companies , only a few are still in use by private bus operators or abroad.
