MAXQDA is software from VERBI for computer-aided qualitative data and text analysis . It is used to support scientific projects and studies in which interviews, texts and media such as image, audio and video files are analyzed in terms of content. The aim is to gain insights into the data material without anticipating the researchers' interpretation of the content.

Products

MAXQDA standard

MAXQDA Standard is the basic version and offers functions for organizing and analyzing qualitative data. Text, audio, image, video, bibliographic data, surveys, Twitter tweets or focus group transcripts can be imported and analyzed. The analysis of the data using codes, memos, etc. a. takes place within the four-window structure of the program. Visualization functions and export options enable analyzes to be prepared for presentations. Although it is the basic version, it also contains functions for quantitative analysis (e.g. mixed methods functions).

MAXQDA Plus

MAXQDA Plus contains all the functions of the basic version MAXQDA and the MAXDictio module. With MAXDictio, dictionaries can be created and text documents can be searched and filtered. Vocabulary analyzes can be carried out and in this way qualitative data can be substantiated quantitatively.

MAXQDA Analytics Pro

MAXQDA Analytics Pro contains all the functions of the MAXQDA Plus version and the Stats module. The Stats module offers a wide range of descriptive and inferential statistical analyzes and expands MAXQDA into an all-in-one tool for qualitative and quantitative data analysis.

MAXQDA Reader

With the MAXQDA Reader, MAXQDA projects can be read and searched, but not edited.

MAXApp

MAXApp is available for Android and iOS devices and allows you to create and code data and notes. These can then be exported to the computer or MAXQDA project.
