Morelos 3 (MEXSAT-2) is a communications satellite owned by the Mexican government. It is part of the Mexsat communications satellite system that is operated by Mexico's Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (Ministry of Communications and Transport) and the Telecomunicaciones de México.

The Mexsat program is an end-to-end satellite communications system that provides communications services for cellular terminals across multiple platforms. The system consists of two satellites and the associated ground infrastructure. The satellite services include education and health programs, voice, data, video and internet services for rural areas to complement other networks, and it is also used for secure communications by the Mexican government and military.

Morelos 3 was on October 2, 2015, an Atlas V - carrier rocket from the Cape Canaveral AFS into a geostationary orbit brought.
