MIAPE

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

MIAPE ( English Minimum Information About a proteomics experiment , minimal information about a proteomics experiment ') is a quality standard for proteomics experiments.

properties

MIAPE was developed in 2006 by the Proteomics Standards Initiative of the Human Proteome Organization (HUPO). MIAPE defines the amount of information necessary for the reproducibility of experiments in the field of proteomics. The output format used is not defined by MIAPE, but by the Proteomics Standard Initiative (in * ML format). The implementation of the experiments is not defined. There are various programs for displaying and processing MIAME data. The areas of methods covered by MIAPE are gel electrophoresis , sample preparation, mass spectrometry , molecular interactions and general. In contrast, data from microarray experiments are generated according to the MIAME standard, medical diagnoses according to the STARD standard. MIAPEGelDB, PRIDE and ProteoRed MIAPE Generator are databases for MIAPE data.
