from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The MRVZN Bad Rehburg is a facility for forensic accommodation in Bad Rehburg . It is part of the Lower Saxony Prison Center (MRVZN).

history

The historic spa facilities in Bad Rehburg go back to 1753.

The Hanover State Insurance Institute operated a lung sanatorium in Bad Rehburg from 1920 to 1974. After the end of World War II until 1949, most of the bed and care capacities were used by the British Red Cross. The state of Lower Saxony sold the properties to the Borstel nursing home in 1953. It was used until 1975.

The former "Hotel Fuß" was built in 1753. In 1943 the house became a state sanatorium for lung patients. In 1959 the house went to the state of Lower Saxony. It was used by the Bad Rehburg department.

This was followed by an expansion of the institution into a modern treatment center for men and women who are dependent on alcohol and drugs. The entire complex of the former lung sanatorium was acquired in 1984 by the Wunstorf State Hospital .

At the end of 2006, the Bad Rehburg department was separated from the Wunstorf regional hospital. It was continued as a forensic-psychiatric specialist clinic for alcohol, drug and drug addicts with accommodation in accordance with Section 64 of the Criminal Code.

The state hospitals of Bad Rehburg, Brauel and Moringen were combined in 2011 to form a joint state facility for the prison system of Lower Saxony (MRVZN) with three locations.

The old hotel was temporarily empty after the turn of the millennium, was renovated from 2011 to 2013 and is now used again as the "Parkhotel Bad Rehburg".

Facility

The house has 100 treatment places, spread over 5 wards and three shared apartments. The legal basis is the execution of measures according to § 64 StGB.
