Małgorzata Potocka (born August 17, 1953 in Łódź ) is a Polish actress , film director and producer .

The daughter of the set designer Ryszard Potocki graduated from the acting department in 1978 and the directing department of the State University for Film, Television and Theater Łódź . In 1985 she received a scholarship from the Film Workshop Millenium in New York, where she taught at several universities.

She has appeared in films such as Wszystko na sprzedaż (1968), Szklana kula (1972), Księżycowa droga (1982) and Cyrk odjeżdża (1987) as well as several television series as an actress and is herself the author of music videos, experimental films and television programs. For her work she received the second prize at the social film competition in Warsaw (1986), the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland (1996) and the Critics' Prize at the Munich Film Festival (1997). Since 2006 she has been the director of TVP Łódź .
