The Maasvlaktestrand is a wide, man-made, sandy beach along the Maasvlakte ( German  Meuse plain ) near the mouth of the Maas near Rotterdam .

The beach has been laid out since 1987 along the Slufter , a large depot for storing sand from dredging during the construction of the following ports:

  • Amazonehaven
  • Europahaven
  • Prinses Amaliahaven
  • Prinses Alexiahaven
  • Prinses Arianehave
  • Yangtze Haven

The beach is popular with kite surfers, nudists and dog owners , among others . Dogs kept on a leash are allowed all year round; open fires and motorized water sports are prohibited.

The beach can be reached from Rotterdam via the A15 / N15.
