Maburaho ( Japanese ま ぶ ら ほ ) is a light novel series by Toshihiko Tsukiji that appeared from 2001 to 2015 and was also implemented as an anime television series and a manga series in 2003 .

action

Seventeen year old Kazuki Shikimori attends the Aoi Gukan Elite School for gifted magicians in a world where a person's social status is measured by their magical abilities. How many spells a person with magical ability can use varies from person to person. If this limit is exceeded, the person turns into dust. Kazuki has a fairly low limit on the use of spells. Because of this, he can only use his magic a few times to cast a spell, resulting in low popularity among his classmates.

Three beautiful girls enter Kazuki's life. The young Yuuna, the combative Rin and Kuriko. All three are daughters of influential families. The three girls are not after Kazuki himself, but after his genes. Indeed, among his ancestors are some of the most famous and greatest magicians of all time. Kazuki can't help but help the girls when they're in trouble. He finally uses all of his remaining magic to save Yuuna from a threatening situation. With this spell, he goes beyond his limits and turns to dust.

But he is not dead, but now walks through the world as a spirit. The three girls settle their differences and decide to work together to help Kazuki regain physical shape. Because as long as he is a ghost and thus nobody can touch him, nobody receives his genes.
