MacDonald Taylor

MacDonald Taylor (born August 27, 1957 in Trinidad and Tobago ) is a retired football player from the US Virgin Islands . He played in the position of defender for the US Virgin Islands national soccer team .

Taylor holds the record for the oldest player to ever play a World Cup qualifier. In the 7-0 defeat in the qualifying game for the 2006 World Cup against the national team of St. Kitts and Nevis , which took place on March 31, 2004 in Basseterre , he was 46 years and 217 days old. In the first leg on February 18, 2004, he had already set the previous age record.
