Maciej Ślesicki
Maciej Ślesicki (* 1966 ) is a Polish director , screenwriter and film producer who was nominated for the Oscar in the category Best Documentary Short at the 2015 Academy Awards for the production of Our Curse together with director Tomasz Śliwiński . The film tells the story of a boy who suffers from the rare Undine syndrome . Ślesicki was born in Warsaw and studied at the Faculty of Radio and Television of the Silesian University . Since the beginning of his career in the late 1980s, Ślesicki has been involved in around 20 film and television productions. He heads the film studio Paisa Films and, in addition to his film work, is a lecturer at the Warsaw Film School .
