Tomasz Śliwiński
Tomasz Śliwiński (* 1979 ) is a Polish filmmaker of documentaries , which in the Academy Awards in 2015 for his film Our Curse (Nasza klątwa) with producer Maciej Ślesicki for the Oscar in the category Best Short Documentary was nominated. The film tells the story of Śliwiński's son Leo, who suffers from the rare Undine syndrome . Before that, he made the short film Klątwa in 2011 , which also deals with Leo's story, and in 2013 worked as an assistant director on the comedy film Podejrzani zakochani . Śliwiński studied directing at the Warsaw Film School and economics at the Technical University of Gdańsk . He lives and works with his wife, the artist Magda Hueckel , and his son in Warsaw .
