Maciej Janiak (born August 16, 1973 in Poznan ) is a former Polish football player .

Career

The striker Maciej Janiak came through the Polish clubs Warta Posen and Polonia Chodzież in the second half of the 1993/94 season to the first division club Sokół Pniewy . On March 19, 1994, the 19th match day, he came to the first use in the Ekstraklasa when the 20-year-old came on in the 63rd minute for Piotr Tyszkiewiecz .

In the 1994/95 season he went to Germany for Eintracht Braunschweig ( Regionalliga Nord ). Here he only stayed one season and then moved to league competitor VfB Oldenburg , who rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1996 . In the 1996/97 season he played 23 professional games with one goal in Germany. After the direct relegation, he played one season in the regional league and then went back to Poland.

In his homeland, he came to a few first division games in the jersey of Legia Warsaw and then played for the second team of Legia, Odra Oppeln , for which he played a game in the second division and just missed promotion to the top class, and Okęcie Warsaw .
