from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maciej Walczak (* 1963 in Łódź ) is a Polish instrumentalist, composer and developer of software for multimedia projects.

Walczak studied cello at the Łódź Music Academy and new media at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts . From 1990 to 1994 he worked in the studio for electronic music of the Music Academy Łódź. He developed a computer and synthesizer into an audiovisual instrument for live performances and created a complex system of programs that interact with fixed parts, random parameters and key control signals. There is a link between picture and sound, main and secondary programs, pre-structured parameters, live control signals and random components, whereby the screen content in turn influences the flow of the programs. His first audiovisual presentation took place in Łódź in 1988, and since then he has produced numerous presentations in Poland and abroad.
