Anita Das

Anita Das ( Oriya ଅନୀତା ଦାସ Anītā Dās ; born October 1, 1951 - † May 11, 2018 in Cuttack , Odisha ) was an Indian film actress in the Oriya film . Mostly she played supporting roles, in total she appeared in over 100 films.

Life

Anita Das made her film debut in 1975 in the film Jajabara . She starred in Nitai Palits Krishna Sudama (1976), Bandhu Mohanty (1977) and Kiye Jite Kiye Hare (1981) as well as in Prashant Nanda's Swapna Sagara (1983) and Maa-o-Mamata (1980). She had leading roles in Basant Sahus Gadhi Janile Ghara Sundara (1994), and Ki Heba Sua Posile (1991). Often she appeared in the role of the mother of one of the main characters. In 1988 she played Budhi Mausi, the mother of Jaga (played by Bijoy Mohanty ) in the film Pua Moro Kala Thakura . In addition to these film roles, Anita Das also starred in music videos and various television series.

Anita Das died of a heart attack in her home in Cuttack . The Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik said the family of the actress publicly his condolences and announced that he was himself deeply affected.

Anita Das has received several awards for her work, including the Banichitra Lifetime Achievement Award .
