The university location
Since 1945, the main location of the Music Academy has been the palace at 32 Gdańska Street (Danziger Street), which was built in 1904 by the industrialist Izrael Poznański for his son Karol Poznański based on a design by Adolf Zeligson . During the German occupation, the building was the seat of the municipal music school, which operated until almost the end of 1944.
In October 2013 the newly furnished concert hall with excellent acoustics and high-quality systems for sound reinforcement, the professional recording studio and the teaching facilities were officially inaugurated and opened. At the beginning of the 2014/2015 semester, the modern building of the regional culture, education and documentation center was opened, which includes a library and a music library, lecture halls, practice rooms and a chamber music hall.
