The Karol Lipiński Music Academy in Wroclaw (Polish: Akademia Muzyczna im. Karola Lipińskiego we Wrocławiu ) is a music academy in the Polish city of Wroclaw . It is named after Karol Lipiński .
history
The Conservatory was founded in November 1948 when the State Conservatory was established in Wroclaw. This was the fifth university in the city and the seventh conservatory in Poland. At first it had only one faculty for pedagogy, in 1949 it was given a faculty for singing, in 1950 for instrumental music, music theory and conducting, and a little later a faculty for composition.
