Nadia Szagdaj (2015)

Nadia Szagdaj (born March 19, 1984 in Wroclaw ) is a Polish musician, writer and visual artist.

Life

She learned to play the cello at the age of seven and the piano at the age of ten. During her school days, Szagdaj wrote poems, short stories, novels and lyrics. She completed an apprenticeship as an opera singer at the Wroclaw Music Academy . She is a member of the Wratislaviae Amici association based in Wroclaw, which focuses on the history of Lower Silesia.

Publications

Szagdaj's first novel Przepowiednia (German: Das Orakel ) was published in Poland in 2009.

Nadja Szagdaj became known as the author of the crime book series Kroniki Klary Schulz ( The Chronicles of Klara Schulz ), the first part of which was published in Poland in 2013. Since then she has been writing another part of the series every year. In Germany, the first part has so far been published under the title Die Chroniken der Klara Schulz - The Last Aria . The series of novels takes place in historic Breslau from 1910 and describes the investigations of the private detective Klara Schulz.

In 2014 Nadia Szagdaj received the recommendation 'Worth reading' from Gazeta Wyborcza .

In 2016 she published the detective novel Love , the plot of which is set in what is now Wroclaw.
