Krystian Kiełb

Krystian Kiełb (born April 30, 1971 in Wroclaw ) is a Polish composer, music theorist and music teacher. From 1999 to 2005 he was Deputy Director, in the 2008 to 2012 Rector of the Academy of Music Wroclaw . From 2012 to 2016 he was professor of musicology there. He received degrees in composition and music theory from the Wroclaw Music Academy. He obtained further degrees in the field of fine arts and received the title of Professor of Music Art in 2014.

He is a composer of orchestral and solo works as well as theater music such as for the piece Czekając na Don Kichota ( Waiting for Don Quixote ), directed by Jacek Głomb . As an academic lecturer, he was appointed associate professor at his alma mater . He was a member of the program council of the Lower Silesian Science Festival.
