Stefan Czermak

Stefan Czermak (* 1948 in Elbląg ) is a Polish violinist .

Life

He studied as a student of Leonid Kogan at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow , which he graduated from with an honorary degree. He won competitions in Poznan , Lisbon and Naples . He taught at the Wroclaw Music Academy and was concertmaster of the Wroclaw Philharmonic.

Today Czermak lives in Wedel . Since 1990 he has been the first concertmaster of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra . He is also the first violinist of the Shostakovich Quartet and teaches at the Pinneberg Music School. He is also artistic advisor and concertmaster of the Wedel Chamber Orchestra, an amateur orchestra known far beyond the borders of the southern Holstein city. In addition to the numerous awards given by the internationally renowned violin virtuoso , the Pinneberg District Culture Prize was also awarded in 2003 by the Wedel Chamber Orchestra (1983) and its current conductor Valeri Krivoborodov (2006).
