The Mactaquac Provincial Park is a provincial park in the Canadian province of New Brunswick . The park is located on the Saint John River in York County . It can be reached from Fredericton on New Brunswick Route 105 .
The park is an IUCN Category II ( National Park ) protected area .
The park was created when the southern Mactaquac Dam was built in the 1960s .
