Mad Monday

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Australia, Mad Monday is the traditional celebrations at the end of the regular season in Australian football , rugby league and soccer . Games in these sports usually take place on the weekend, so that in the last round on Sunday it is clear who will get into the play-offs. The next day, the Mad Monday celebrations begin, which are often accompanied by excessive alcohol consumption. Because of this, there are often bad reputation incidents for the athletes, which has led to demands to ban the celebrations.
