Maekawa Samio
Maekawa Samio ( Japanese 前 川 佐 美 雄 ; * February 5, 1903 , † July 15, 1990 ) was a Japanese poet.
Maekawa came from a wealthy Nara family . During the Second World War he came out with patriotic poems. After the war, which also brought about the financial decline of his family, he fell silent as an author for several years. From 1953 he published Tanka again , which were often humorous and showed his talent for finding fresh and striking images.
