The Egyptian magazine Maǧallat Kullīyat al-Ādāb bi-l-Ǧāmiʿa al-Miṣrīya / Bulletin of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Egypt ( Arabic مجلة كلية الآداب بالجامعة المصرية, DMG Maǧallat Kullīyat al-Ādāb bi-l-Ǧāmiʿa al-Miṣrīya , Bulletin of the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Egypt ') of the University of Cairo , formerly the Egyptian University and later the University of Fu'ads I. , Appeared between 1933 and 1942. Biannually a total of ten issues were published in six volumes.
The special feature of this magazine was the subdivision into an Arabic and a European part and thus the publication of Arabic, English and French-language articles. In terms of content, the focus was on the one hand on historical events, numerous translations, the investigation of Arabic scholars and their writings, philosophy, poetry and ancient languages. On the other hand, the magazine specialized in various topics that specifically concerned Egypt , such as history, culture and social development.
After the publication was discontinued between May 1937 and May 1941, a final edition appeared in 1942, before the successor under a new name, Maǧallat Kullīyat al-Ādāb bi-l-Ǧāmiʿat Fārūq al-Awwal / Bulletin of the Faculty of Arts of the Farouk I. University , from May 1943 after the founding of the University of Alexandria , formerly Farouks I University , was published as an offshoot of the Cairo University .
