Candid Grab (born July 25, 1943 in Rothenturm near Zurich ) is a former cyclist from Switzerland and Swiss champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Grab began cycling in 1963 after being encouraged to do so by his brother, who was an active cyclist. He completed his military service in a Swiss cycling troop unit and immediately afterwards joined a cycling club. Since 1967 he also competed in standing races . Just one year later, in 1968, he became Swiss champion in the amateurs ' standing race , in 1967 he was runner-up, and in 1969 he finished third in the championship race.

Grab belonged to the elite class of street amateurs in Switzerland at that time and was also able to achieve successes in particular with criteria . In 1967 he started for the Swiss national team in the British Milk Race and turned 40.
