The Egyptian magazine Maǧallat Kullīyat al-Ādāb bi-l-Ǧāmiʿat Fārūq al-Awwal / Bulletin of the Faculty of Arts of the Farouk I. University ( Arabic مجلة كلية الآداب بالجامعة فاروق الأول, DMG Maǧallat Kullīyat al-Ādāb bi-l-Ǧāmiʿat Fārūq al-Awwal, 'Bulletin of the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Farouk I.') appeared as the successor to Maǧallat Kullīyat al-Ādāb bi-l-Ǧāmiʿa al-Miṣrīya. / Bulletin of theīya Faculty of Arts of the University of Egypt between 1943 and 1972 at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Alexandria . Alexandria University, formerly Farouk I University , was founded as an offshoot of Cairo University in 1938.
A total of 11 volumes were published, each of which appeared at irregular intervals, mostly once a year. As with its predecessor, which was published between 1933 and 1942 at the University of Cairo, there was a subdivision into an Arabic and a European part and thus the publication of articles in Arabic, English and French. In terms of content, the focus was on the one hand on historical events, numerous translations, the investigation of Arabic scholars and their writings, philosophy, poetry and ancient languages. On the other hand, the magazine specialized in various topics that specifically concerned Egypt , such as history, culture and social development.
