Maghrib (prayer)

The Maghrib (Arabic: لمغرب صلاة, ṣalāt al-maġrib) is one of the five mandatory prayers in Islam . It is the fourth prayer of the day and takes place in the early evening hours.

In Ramadan , it simultaneously marks the end of the daily fast and the breaking of the fast takes place.

Prayer time

The time of the Maghrib prayer begins with the onset of sunset and ends with the complete disappearance of daylight.

composition

The Maghribgebet consists of three rakah Fard followed by two rakah Sunna . In community prayer, the Koran is recited aloud.

Unlike the longer prayers of the day, the Maghrib prayer can also be used during a trip or similar. not be shortened. The three rakah fard prayers are mandatory.
