Nervenbeisser is a new German hardness band from Gau-Odernheim founded in 2001 .

history

In 2001 the band Nervenbeisser was founded by singer and composer Olaf Seider and guitarist, songwriter and producer Walter Stobbe. Olaf Seider had already appeared in 1993–1995 with his solo project, under which he released 3 MCs and his second project Azreal, both of which were in the musical environment of industrial . The Nervenbeisser demo was released in  2001 . In 2002 Nervenbeisser released the EP Feuerteufel on their own. The Goodlife Records label noticed the band and signed Nervenbeisser. A few months later (2003) the EP Bondage was released under this label. In the context of this release there is a collaboration with Agathodaimon , the EP therefore also contains 2 cover versions of the Mainz dark metal band. In addition to the EP release, Nervenbeisser contributes several songs to the radio play production Mystery & Crime - Episode 1 "the Cthulhu Sect" . Due to positive feedback, Nervenbeisser received a contract with the ZYX Music label . In 2004 Nervenbeisser went to mastering in the mastering studio MSM in Munich and shortly afterwards released the album Sex Battle .

In the same year the album title Rosenkrieg landed on the Mexican sampler Apocalipsyche . Also, appears in the Mexican Gothic magazine Taladro a report on nerve Biter. The album Sex Battle received positive reviews worldwide. Regardless of this, the band does not feel sufficiently supported by their label ZYX Music, as the first Eisbrecher productions are being released there at the same time and ZYX Music no longer wants to support the band. Disappointed with the collaboration, they parted ways with ZYX Music and both musicians decide to go their own musical paths for the time being. In 2009 Olaf Seider released the solo album Zeitenwandel under the name OSC (Olaf Seider Coincidence). The album will be released on the black scene label Danse Macabre Records. Walter Stobbe also works on this album as a co-producer and partly as a songwriter. The publication of the successor to Zeitwandel was planned for 2012, but it was not completed and published by Olaf Seider for health reasons. Walter Stobbe formed a metal crossover band called Real Keepers in 2007 . With this band he releases three CDs on various indie labels and plays live throughout Germany in changing line-ups. In 2013 the band split up due to irreconcilable differences. In the summer of 2014, Seider and Stobbe decide to revive the Nervenbeisser project and a reunion takes place. Nervenbeisser released a limited album called Bondage 2 in February 2015 , which is only sold at concerts and on Facebook. In June 2015 the band signed a new contract with Danse Macabre Records and on July 31, 2015 released the album "Sex Battle " as a rerelease in a heavily revised form. Again the album receives positive reviews. In June 2015 there is a collaboration with the management and booking agency Anubis Artist Service .

A tour of Germany followed from September to December 2015 as support for the band Stahlmann . In early 2016, the duo retired to their studio, worked on new songs and waited for the result of management work to present their results. On May 14, 2016 Nervenbeisser played a support show with a hero machine . After that it was quiet around the band until June 2017. Although their management had organized a small tour, it was decided to end the collaboration. Nervenbeisser played a double headliner tour with Hemesath on the Herbststurm Tour in October 2017  . The album Zeitenwandel from 2009 was heavily revised in October 2017 and released with three new bonus songs via Echozone . After a spring tour in 2018, as support for the band Crematory , Nervenbeisser went back to the studio to finish their planned third album The Last Man .

In March 2019 Nervenbeisser was on tour with Oomph! . On June 3, Stobbe announced that he was leaving the project for private reasons.
