history

The band was founded in 2012 by Christopher Zumbält , André Rasfeld, Wolfgang “Wolle” Broschk, Peter “Pedda” Bernhard, Mick Lück and Frank “Schoppa” Schoppengerd. In early 2013 the band recorded their first EP, Rot so rot . It was produced by Victor Smolski . After the first concerts in Germany in 2014, a record deal with Echozone followed , the first album Für dich was released in 2015. During this time Mick Lück left the band. In the subsequent tour, among other things as support for Ost + Front , the first concerts in Austria followed. The band describes their style of music as "New Münsteraner Hardness".

reception

Metal.de criticized the banality of the lyrics by Rot, so rot and said:

"The great lyric poets [...] would all turn around in their graves in the face of such German-language embarrassments that line up on HEMESATH's debut" Rot, so red "like a string of pearls."

- Theo Johne : Metal.de

Her debut album Für dich received mixed reactions after its release. The music magazine Orkus called it "a treasure trove for supporters of the New German Hardship", but perceived a clear similarity to Rammstein . In contrast, the Sonic Seducer found:

"Anyone who diagnosed an all too obvious stepping stone from the NDH after briefly hearing the debut album by Hemesath has either set the volume control to the confessional volume or should have the eavesdropper swept out by the ear doctor."

- Stephan Wolf : Sonic Seducer, 11/2015

Powermetal.de, on the other hand, criticized "underground weak" lyrics and drew the conclusion: "This album doesn't need a pig!"
