Martin Rieck

Martin Rieck (* 1990 in Cottbus ) is a German opera and concert singer ( tenor ), university teacher and singing teacher .

Career

Martin Rieck grew up in Zwickau and attended the Clara-Wieck-Gymnasium there with an in-depth musical profile. In his childhood he sang numerous roles as a boy soprano and in the children's choir at the Plauen-Zwickau Theater . After graduating from high school, he studied singing and vocal pedagogy at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden , first with Matthias Weichert and later with Piotr Bednarski .

Since 2015, Rieck has been teaching singing at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden and prepares applicants for the entrance exams to study music at the Saxon State High School for Music . From 2016 to 2017 he headed the voice department at the Dreiländereck district music school in the Görlitz district . Since 2017 he has held a position at the Rostock University of Music and Drama at the Institute for Musicology and Music Education, specializing in singing. He is a member of the Federal Association of German Singing Pedagogues .

Rieck works as a freelance singer and began his solo career while still studying. He sang roles in operas , operettas and musicals in many theaters, mainly in Saxony . He has also given concerts with numerous orchestras and well-known conductors. His repertoire includes oratorios , cantatas and songs . Numerous reviews prove his artistic work.
