Magnetic rotary balance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The magnetic rotating balance is a construction very similar to the principle of the Coulomb rotating balance . It consists of a small elongated sample magnet attached to a torsion thread ; The torsion thread must be attached to a mirror , just like a Coulomb balance, and provided with a calibrated measuring scale with which the torque can be measured. With their help, the magnetic force law could be found, which mathematically has the same form as the Coulomb law .
