The Mahaka Ponds are two neighboring ponds in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Cruzen Range they are located at the southern end of the Conrad Ledge ridge on the The Fortress plateau .
The New Zealand Geographic Board named the ponds , which were still called Greenfield Ponds in 2005 , after the Maori term for twins the following year .
