Mahindra United was an Indian football club from Mumbai . The main sponsor, the automobile company Mahindra & Mahindra , is also the namesake of the association, which was originally founded in 1962 under the name Mahindra & Mahindra . The association was given its current name in 2000 .
Based on Manchester United , the club is also called MU in India . He plays in the I-League and is one of the financially strongest clubs in India and has several Indian national players. Due to the poor quality of the stadium, the club threatened to leave the city.
