from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maike Vogt-Lüerssen (born March 24, 1956 in Wilhelmshaven ) is a German author.

education

Vogt-Lüerssen successfully attended the Käthe-Kollwitz-Gymnasium in Wilhelmshaven. At the Philipps University in Marburg an der Lahn she studied biology, history and pedagogy for teaching. At the end of her degree in 1986 she wrote a term paper on the subject of macroalgae and their use: a historical overview in the subject of biology .

Activity as an author

Vogt-Lüerssen is the author of several biographies and non-fiction books, most of which are published via book-on-demand. Her areas of expertise include female figures from the Middle Ages and early modern times.

Ms. Vogt-Lüerssen provides information on her work for a fee, starting at 10 euros for smaller inquiries, such as the painter of a picture. More extensive information is initially calculated. Since the end of 2019, the request for financial reward no longer appears on the homepage.

reception

Ms. Vogt-Lüerssen's texts, which are linguistically simple and illustrated with many pictures, find a lively reading audience. In Amazon reviews it is emphasized that now you can finally read how it really was. Other contributions to the discussion criticize a one-sided presentation.

The texts are neglected by experts and publishers. The Giessen historian Martin Spies held against the author "one-sided selective, sometimes strongly interpretative handling of the source material".

Private

She has lived in Australia with her family since 1995. Her husband Holger Lüerssen finances her writing activities.
