Majid Al Futtaim ( under company law: Majid Al Futtaim Holding LLC ) is a real estate company headquartered in Dubai , United Arab Emirates .
The group is headed by Majid Al Futtaim , who owns 99.6% of the shares. The remaining shares are owned by Tariq Al Futtaim. The construction projects implemented by the company include the Mall of the Emirates shopping center in Dubai. The company was created in 2000 through a spin-off from the Al-Futtaim Group . The background to this split is a division of assets between the cousins Majid Al Futtaim and Abdulla Al Futtaim .
