Mall of the Emirates
The Mall of the Emirates (short form: MOE) is a shopping center in Dubai . It is located in the Al-Barsha district, right on Sheikh Zayed Road . The operator of the plant is Majid al-Futtain Holding (MAF Holding). The opening took place on September 28, 2005.
With a shopping area of 223,000 square meters, the Mall of the Emirates was one of the largest shopping centers in the world. However, the Dubai Mall , which was completed at the end of 2008, and the Mall of Arabia , which is under construction, surpass them.
In total, there are over 400 shops in all industries in the Mall of the Emirates, mostly from the luxury sector. Both Arab and Western retail chains are represented. There are also over 65 restaurants in the food courts , individual coffee shops and a large supermarket.
In addition to the shops, the mall has a forty-screen cinema complex, a playground for children and a theater. The main attraction is the adjoining Ski Dubai hall . It is separated from the shopping center by a shop window extending over several floors. The Mall of the Emirates has also been accessible via its own Dubai Metro station since September 2009 .
