Makado

Makado , formerly Luis Trichard is a 558 m high altitude inhabited place (populated place) in District Beitbridge on the road West Nicholson - Beitbridge in Matabeleland South Province in Zimbabwe .

The Zimbabwean refugees deported from the Republic of South Africa often walk from the small town of Beitbridge to Makado. There are camps there where refugees from other African countries such as Tanzania, Nigeria, Rwanda and Mozambique are waiting for their chance to cross the border illegally.
