Makaria (daughter of Heracles)
Makaria ( Greek Μακαρία , bliss ) is the daughter of Heracles and Deianeira in Greek mythology .
When Herakles' family fled to Demophons Athens from his cousin Eurystheus , the king of Argos , after his death , they sacrificed themselves following a prophecy in order to favorably influence the battle between the troops of Demophons and Eurystheus. In her honor, a fountain in Tricorythos near Marathon was named after her.
