Maki Kusumoto ( Japanese 楠 本 ま き , Kusumoto Maki ; born July 15, 1967 in Kanagawa Prefecture , Japan ) is a Japanese mangaka .

Her first professionally published manga was published in 1984 in Margaret , one of the most famous Japanese manga magazines for girls ( shōjo ). She studied philosophy at Ochanomizu Women's University in Tokyo and now lives in London . She became known through her manga Kiss xxxx .
